Training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk (m/f/d)

TIRE IM/EX is a dynamic, internationally active company in the used tyre trade, based right in the heart of the German-French border region. In close partnership with our French sister company Pneus Gern, we take care of the entire tyre value chain – from professional recycling and processing to resale and international distribution. We are looking for a motivated trainee for our international trade department to train as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk.

You will spend time in all relevant departments of our international trading company and learn the following tasks.

Purchasing & Procurement

• Contributing to the procurement of used tires in national and international markets
• ⁠Supporting in obtaining offers and selecting suppliers
• ⁠Maintaining supplier master data

Logistics & Warehousing

• ⁠Assisting with scheduling and planning for cross-border goods transport
• ⁠Supporting inventory management and warehouse operations
• ⁠Participating in the handling of import and export transactions

Product Quality and Condition

• Inspecting product quality from A to Z, including the classification process
• ⁠Sorting products based on quality characteristics
• ⁠Providing support to optimize work processes for quality classification
• ⁠Operating machinery and vehicles (depending on qualification) for quality inspections and product storage

Sales & Distribution

• Handling customer inquiries from domestic and international markets
• ⁠Creating offers and sales documentation
• ⁠Supporting our sales staff in customer care

Commercial Administration

• Creating and reviewing delivery notes and invoices
• Contributing to accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting
• ⁠Assistance with payment transaction processing
• ⁠Supporting communication with authorities, particularly customs authorities

• You have a good secondary school diploma or a higher education entrance qualification
• ⁠You are interested in commercial topics and international trade
• ⁠You have basic knowledge of MS Office
• ⁠Good German language skills, and basic knowledge of English or French is desirable
• ⁠You work carefully, are team-oriented, and enjoy diverse tasks
• ⁠You are mobile and willing to work at both company locations in Germany and France
